Fantastic European Oil Finish! Now with a Lifetime Guarantee!
We Proudly Offer An Amazing Hard-wax Oil Finish From Germany
|
| Natural oil finish with 18th century rosehead nails for the most authentic and carefree plank floor possible. |
Our European Natural Oil Finish is one of the most beautiful and environmentally safe finishes in the world. This oil is a micro-porous finish that penetrates and becomes part of the wood. It is not a wear coat and therefore cannot chip, crack or peel. Photos don't do it justice!
Imported from Germany, where strict environmental standards have been in place for decades, this hard-wax oil consists of thistle oil, sunflower oils, natural vegetable oils, carnauba wax, candallila wax and special hardeners. On unstained oak it ages to a beautiful golden color that resists stains, wine, alcohol, and water.
It is as hard as polyurethane yet never needs complete refinishing. More accurately, it only requires occasional maintenance which includes easy application of a cleaner wax or the original hardwax oil if necessary to restore the original finish to new condition.
It can be spot repaired perfectly and easily.

This is the easiest floor to live with if you have an active household! (i.e. kids & pets)
The finish does not rest on top of the wood but is absorbed where it hardens and creates a softer more natural look.
It's so good we offer a lifetime warranty against chipping ,peeling or cracking.
By far the best value in prefinished wide plank floors available anywhere!

European Hardwax Oil Top Coat
Our European Hardwax/Oil Finish works well as a finish to our stains (except Nantucket White). It is a more natural, softer look and has the added advantage of repair-ability. You get the rich colors of our stains with the patina of a natural oil on top.
This is the oldest looking flooring we offer. OSMO oil over stain will achieve a foot worn look over time. Scuffs, scrapes, and accumulated character marks are an inherent feature of this floor finish. It is a magnificent recreation of truly colonial flooring. You can even selectively "age" traffic areas to create a more foot worn look. Simply sand in traffic areas with 100 grit sandpaper and apply some of the oil to the "worn" in areas.
This is the best alternative to recycled flooring without spending a fortune. (recycled flooring can easily cost over $20 a sq ft after installation and finishing)
Antiqued Black Flooring
It's Not Just a Floor ...It's a Feeling!
Our "Antique Pub Black" planking is the most dramatic flooring you will find. We start with a coat of high performance black paint and hand rub in areas of wear and distress as if the flooring was subject to years of use. We then apply a coat of special stain to bring out the highlights of the areas that are now bare wood. We finish it with a commercial sealer and 2 coats of our crystal clear polyurethane. (Because this is a limited, time consuming process, lead times for this finish may exceed 50 days.)
